Grant Opportunities
In 2023, Mighty Fortress Foundation and Church Extension Fund partnered on the Ministry Worker Wellness Grant. These grants were up to $2500 to offset the cost of a “Wellness Event” for church workers. These ministries found lots of creative ways tp use the grants! Covering the cost of substitutes to give a short term sabbatical to a worker, staff outings, an event to encourage team bonding, like a scavenger hunts, healthy cooking classes and hot air balloon rides were just a few examples.
Three additional $10,000 grants will be awarded to the ministries that demonstrate the impact of their grant and shows the most creativity in early 2024!
Over the course of the grant, Mighty Fortress Foundation helped disburse more than $125,000 in total grants!
It is important to note that when you donate to Mighty Fortress Foundation, your contributed dollars will be used directly to make these grants happen. Please prayerfully consider a donation.
Congregational Services
Across Michigan, there are Lutheran churches, schools and service organizations of vastly varying sizes and resources. The Mighty Fortress Foundation aims to offer services that will benefit not just some of these ministries, but all in our community of faithful.
With the Mighty Fortress Foundation’s expertise and resources comes the flexibility to assist with a wide range of ministry needs. We will listen to our ministry partners’ challenges and specifically design our services to help them succeed. This will make the real work of ministry easier.

CEF has been blessed to provide millions in grants and services over the years. We look forward to expanding these offerings by partnering with the Mighty Fortress Foundation. Both ministries share the goal of Kingdom expansion in Michigan.
