Why Give To The Mighty Fortress Foundation

The work of serving Christ through His church is an honor and a privilege given to faithful workers in Lutheran churches, schools and service organizations. Sharing the Gospel is also the work of a congregation and its members. Yet often a church, though full of good intentions, is faced with roadblocks to accomplishing all the programs, outreach and discipleship it aspires to. Sometimes, there is just not enough time or money to make these initiatives become realities.

The Mighty Fortress Foundation’s goal is to help to remove these roadblocks to ministry through our mission to inspire ministries to make followers of Jesus. These grant opportunities and congregational services can make the difference in whether or not a new outreach program can happen, or if your congregation can effectively provide for those most at need in your community.

The Mighty Fortress Foundation recalls the parable Jesus told in Matthew 25 about the talents entrusted to us. We aim to multiply the talents, to bless not just one or two churches, but ministries throughout the Michigan District.
