MISSION STATEMENT
The Mighty Fortress Foundation exists to inspire ministries to make followers of Jesus.
Thank You for Your Support
Since 2020, it has been our privilege to serve ministries across Michigan. Since our founding, we have set our eyes on Jesus to guide every effort, and we continue to pray that our mission—to inspire ministries to make followers of Jesus—remains at the heart of all we do.
We are excited to share the Fortress Forward Grant initiative for 2026 & 2027—one we believe will further strengthen congregations and expand the reach of God’s Kingdom. Thanks to your help, these opportunities are a reality!
We want to encourage best practices in ministry – what better way to do so than to offer a grant to send ministries to Best Practices Ministry conferences! Your donations helped offset the cost of attendance for a ministry worker to attend Best Practices Heartland in Frankenmuth, Michigan and will help send more workers to Best Practices Ministry in Phoenix, AZ in 2027!
Be Inspired…
The Mighty Fortress Foundation was founded in late 2020 with the mission to inspire ministries to make followers of Jesus. Mighty Fortress Foundation devotes 100% of our efforts to offering grants and services to Lutheran ministries in the Michigan District and other Christian ministries committed to living out the Great Commission.
Since our founding, Mighty Fortress Foundation has granted more than $200,000 to Lutheran ministries in Michigan! Please consider a donation to help us make lasting Kingdom impact on the ministries of the Michigan District!
Grants & Services That Help Michigan’s Lutheran Ministries
Mighty Fortress Foundation makes grants to various ministry partners. Some recent grants have focused on providing for Lutheran ministry workers and also the ministries they serve. Without the support of our faithful donors, these grants and services cannot be made available. If you want to inspire ministries across Michigan to make followers of Jesus, donate today! Currently, the Fortress Forward Grant is available. Future grants we will consider supporting are listed below.
New Ministries and Initiatives
Have an idea for reaching your community? Our evangelism grants and services can help turn these ideas into realities by removing some of the financial barriers to starting new projects.
Educational FUNDING
Lutheran schools are using grants to acquire new curriculum and materials, modernize classrooms, and upgrade their libraries. What better investment could there be than in our children’s future?
New and Improved TECHNOLOGY
Grants can be used to stay up-to-date with IT equipment and training. The need to continue connecting people to Jesus is ever growing in an increasingly online world.
Conferences
Continuing education is an important part of any ministry worker’s calling. To be inspired by speakers, challenged by difficult tasks, and to hear about new ideas is truly a blessing! Mighty Fortress Foundation wants to encourage this type of learning!
You are the hands and feet of Christ for me and for so many other congregations. May He continue to support and guide you as you help us to be ministers of the Gospel.
